Lyle Lovett's neues Studioalbum, diesmal ohne die "Large Band" eingespielt. Die jazzigen Einflüsse sind dementsprechend geringer. "Natural forces" ist ein tolles Album geworden, ein (Alternate) Countryalbum, teils mit rootsigen Americana-Songs, teils auch sehr traditionell orientiert. Nie war er näher an seinen Anfangswerken, als mit diesem neuen Album! Ganz starkes Songmaterial! Ganz starke Leistung Lovett's!
